Hard to believe it has been over two weeks since my last update. Only a couple things have happened on the car since and I have been very busy doing other unexpected things that have taken me away from working on Old Biddy.
First, I had to look under the rear of the car to snap some pictures. This helps me survey what will need to be done. Some real good news; I already have a sway bar installed in the sub-frame! It is located above the auxiliary springs (and just beneath the fuel tank) in the picture. One less thing to worry about! But, I do need to install a new fuel line to the front of the car, though. This one busted about three years ago.
I found the rear brake diverter valve from the original car down in the cellar. It will have to be rebuilt.
But, Old Biddy already has one installed (located in the upper right part of the picture) and it does not seem to be leaking. Although different than the old one, I will keep this one as is, unless something happens when we bleed the brake system.
I took a picture of the exhaust tunnel for my own reference because…
… I purchased a new MG Midget 1275 muffler from Moss Motors which should do the trick.
The pipes on the muffler will have to be altered and the tab will need to be cut off. The car will also sound a bit sportier but that is fine with me.
As soon as I get done what needs to be done, which will probably be by this weekend, I should be back on track again.
